Project Officer – Kay Andrews: I joined Butterfly Conservation in 2019, after carrying out butterfly and moth monitoring in my previous role with Ingleborough National Nature Reserve and becoming fascinated by Lepidoptera. I have always been passionate about the environment and studied Conservation Science at the University of Cumbria. I have volunteered and worked in a wide range of roles from researching Orca in British Columbia, Sea Turtles in Costa Rica and Dolphins in Wales; to closer to home projects including Trainee and Living Landscapes Assistant with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Getting out in the field and engaging with the public are the best elements of my work,

I am very excited to be taking on and promoting the Limestone Lepidoptera project with implementation of public events and inspiring activities. Recruits, trains and supports volunteers. Improves habitat condition for the target species through advice to landowners and direct habitat management. See the Project page
