Lindrick Golf Course is a Local Wildlife Site and SSSI, notable for its calcareous grassland, scrub and woodland habitats and two limestone quarries. It has a well recorded butterfly assemblage, at least for parts of the site which are publicly accessible.

The little meadow area of section 5 is particulalry good for a wide range of species  including Dingy Skipper and the large Fritillaries  but other parts of the site are also good and Marbled White appears to be the commonest species of the site
