A fair turnout for our members day at Pannal saw some inspiring talks from Sam Newton our branch ecologist about a year in his life balancing tree planting and conserving good quality grasslands and finding spare time monitoring, discovering and walking transects.
Celebrating this years three winners of our outstanding Volunteer awards going to Dave Ramsden County Recorder, VC64 and Paul Millard, VC65 County recorder . Plus Allan Rodda for being branch conservation officer for many years and transforming Fordon Chalk Banks into a marvelous reserve .we are extremely grateful for all three of you.

Founded in 1981, the Yorkshire Branch of Butterfly Conservation with eighteen members, the branch has grown steadily to over 1770 members today.
The Yorkshire Branch Members' Day and AGM is an ideal opportunity to meet like-minded enthusiasts, to hear conservation updates from around the county and to enjoy listening to our Guest Speaker.
Tea and Coffee will be provided on the day.
The day will commence with the branch AGM including election of committee members.
There will also be a variety of stalls including a plant stall, and raffle and the annual photographic competition.
