Join us for an introduction to butterfly identification, how to tell some of the trickier ones apart and why butterflies are important.
The day will be split between a classroom session and a guided walk through Ingleborough National Nature Reserve’s Colt Park Meadows and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s Salt Lake Quarry. Want to record butterflies? Tutor Kay Andrews will take you through some of the many ways to record butterflies and get involved; from recording a butterfly seen in your garden or out on a walk to walking a butterfly transect.
